These past three years have flown by so quickly...apart from the first 7 1/2 weeks! I still remember my pregnancy and Sofia's hospital stay like it was yesterday. Sorry it has taken me so long, but it has taken a while for me to actually get an update. Reese's surgery for 8am was rescheduled for Thursday and then the doctor said well, actually she has done real well, lets go ahead and do it today. So, Reese went in to surgery at 1pm. Baby Reese was born this morning at 4:49am and was 6lbs 10oz. She is stable and is doing well. Baby Reese's Mommy, Lauren, was taken in to be induced earlier today after some contractions during a non-stress test that showed Reese's heart rate dropping. Sofia was discharged earlier today. Her Pulmonolgist said that her over inflated lung is normal in babies with CDH and that as long as it is not causing her in problems that they wouldn't do anything about it. We took Sofia to the Zoo today and she loved it! She meows at our cats, so when she saw all the animals she would meow at them! It was hilarious! She would also get so upset and cry as we left each exhibit, but was fine once we got to the next one. The flamingos were her favorite. I think it was the bright colors that she liked and the fact that they were the loudest animals we saw today.

Well, my Sofie is already 8 months! I can't believe it! She is doing much better than she was last week. The bottom picture of her is on Friday morning after she had all those shots she didn't need. Today Sofia met her Great-Grandfather for the first time! I just pray that it wasn't the last. Sorry I again have taken so long to post. I have found it is pretty hard to have to time to get on the computer with my little Diva! But, Daddy is here now and so I get some free time! Ivan got here yesterday and we went to the airport to pick him up. He couldn't believe how dark she is and finally realized that she really does look like him! He got up with her for every feeding and did great!

Baby Jackson has had a reherniation and will have another repair surgery tomorrow. Please say a special prayer for Jackson and his family.Also, please keep Baby Mert's parents in your prayers, too. They found out last week that they will be induced on July 3rd. This is about 15 days early. Again, the hospital they are at in Turkey does not have ECMO and the only have 1 High Frequency Oscillator
