A WONDERFUL GIFT!

Hi everyone! I hope yesterday was a good day for all, it was wonderful for us. It seems I was the first to get to the NICU to see Sofia. I was meeting Catherine there and then we were going to have lunch together. Well was I surprised not to find my granddaughter there! They had moved her to Special Care Unit. Wow! I quickly called Cat, who was in the shower, so I left a message then went to find Sofia. Her crib is right up front when you go in. I was anxious to see her but had to meet her new nurse and scrub in. Catherine wasn't far behind. They didn't realize we hadn't been notified. But we we're so happy that she'd "moved down" as they call it and that's a good thing, that we didn't mind not being informed in advance. What a lovely Mother's Day gift for Catherine.
She quickly made herself at home as much as possible and proceeded to dress Sofia in a cute two piece that Grandpa and Grandma Beth had given Sofia. She looked adorable headband and all. Cat decided not to tell Daddy but let him be surprised too. He was. I know it was Mother's Day and I could go on and on about how good Catherine is with Sofia but I have to tell you all that Ivan is turning out to be a wonderful father. He's so good with Sofia and she always has a smile for her Daddy. It does seem though that she saves the stinky diapers for him too cause I know he's changed quite a few. lol

I bought her the "Fisher Price" aquarium today for her crib. We think she'll like it cause she loves to look at the lights and drawings on the ceilings. She likes her "Winnie the Pooh" mobile too but we don't want her to get bored. Grandma Beth and Uncle Tavo went to see "Lion King" musical yesterday and they gave her a plush "Nala". So she's getting quite a collection in her crib. Well I just wanted to let you all know the great news, sorry about not mentioning it yesterday but I thought Cat may have stopped home and wanted to tell you herself. Either way we thank God for our little miracle and we thank you for all your prayers. Know that you are in ours too. As always we all will continue to pray for our babies and their families. God bless and goodnight.
Love,
