Wow, it has been a while and I have so much to update on some is good, some is not. Sorry it has taken me so long.
First of all, I can't believe my little Miracle is already 4 months! Sofie is doing awesome! She had her appointment with the High Risk Clinic at the hospital where she was born on Wednesday and the doc said that Sofia is doing great, she is doing everything a 3-4 month baby should be doing. The PT was so surprised at how well Sofie is doing and how much she has improved and changed since she left the hospital. Sofia is finally using her thumbs and I am so happy! Sofia weighed 13lbs 3oz and is 25 inches long! Sofia has been eating rice cereal for a little over a week and we are able to try her on baby food now, but I haven't yet. She does really good at spoon feeding. We have her 4 month check up on Monday. We are still Baptizing Sofia this Sunday and having a celebration after. Ivan got here on Wednesday and is here for a week, then he leaves and we won't see him again till January.
My sister, niece and nephew left this past Monday to Germany where they will live for the next 3 years. It was a very sad weekend for us. We love you guys and can't wait to come and visit!
Now, for my exciting news that you have all been waiting to hear about! Sofia has a new Uncle and I have a new Brother! About 20 years ago my Stepmom, Beth, had a baby boy, but was unable to give him the life she wanted him to have. He was adopted by a family that lived not too far from where we are. Beth saw a story on the news about a lady who found her child that had been adopted on MySpace. So, Beth thought she would give it a shot and set up her own account on MySpace so that she would be able to search for him. His account was the first account to pop up! When she went into it she saw that he was the exact age that her son would be, he even had comments from friends on his Birthday which was the day she had him. In his pictures, he had pictures of himself as a little boy and he looks exactly like her when she was little! She called me and told me that she thought she found him and didn't know whether to send him a message or not. She was scared that he may not know that he had been adopted. Well, she sent the message and got a message back asking for her to call if this wasn't a joke. My Dad called him and told him it wasn't a joke and that she was his birth Mother. Jordan has known all his life that he was adopted and told his girlfriend that when he turned 18 that he wanted her to help him find his birth Mom. So, they have been looking for about 2 years! Jordan only lives about 20 minutes away, and has been on commercials and billboards for a local water park! Isn't that crazy, so we have probably seen him before! Anyway, they are so happy to have each other. I have never seen Beth so happy, her life is complete. I have a posted a picture of Sofia and Jordan together.

Baby Updates!
Congratulations to our friends Donna and Jared who just found out that they are having a baby girl! Baby Audrey, Julia, and Jackson all seem to be doing well. Baby Leah turned 1 on the 11th. Happy Belated Birthday, Leah! Baby Brooklyn was born July 24 and is already home! Go Brooklyn!
I need to ask for lots of prayers for Baby Joseph and his family. Carole, Joey's mommy was told some not so great news about his prognosis. She is scheduled for a c-section on August 25, but the doctors have told her that the only thing they can offer for Joey is compassionate care. Please pray that a Miracle happens for this baby and his family. Pray that Joey can prove those doctors wrong. Carole, my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family at this very difficult time. Expect a Miracle!
Thank you all for reading. Please keep Sofia and all other CDH babies in your prayers. God Bless
Love, Catherine

Happy 4 months to Sofia! I can't believe she's already 4 months! I am so glad she is doing so well!
And how exciting about finding out you have a brother. He's a cutie! A little too young for me and I'm married anyway...but still! ;-)
I am so sad to hear the prognosis for baby Joseph. I am praying he will prove the docs wrong and be a miracle baby! And I am praying for comfort and peace for his family no matter what the outcome is!
Hugs and prayers,
Tasha
