Sofia Says....

Well, on Halloween Sofia decided that she would spend the day saying Dada! I couldn't believe it! I am so jealous, but I keep telling myself that that is usually most babies first word. I will look at her and say Mama and she just smiles and plays with her toes and says Dadadada! I finally got her on video doing it today and was able to play it for Ivan to hear over the phone. While I was taping her she decided to get up on her knees and started rocking back and forth. This is the first time I saw her do it, and she kept doing it. Her therapist came out today and was surprised that she did it so fast! She sees Sofie every week and can't believe how much she changes from week to week. She has a baby girl a week younger than Sofie. Sofie is just changing too quickly for me now, it is scary how fast she is growing!

Now for another baby update! Baby Julia is finally going home after a little over 5 months in the hospital. Go Julia Go! I am so happy for her family.

This past Tuesday, my Uncle David passed away at the age of 47. We are having his funeral this coming Tuesday. Please keep my family, especially my cousins Lana, Davie and Jason (his children) and my Grandparents in your prayers. We love you, Dave!

Thank you all again for your continued prayers for Sofia and for all the CDH babies. God Bless

Love, Catherine

Awww, Sofia is growing up so fast! My daughter started saying "dada" around the same age as Sofia. It was also her first word and she said it constantly but I think most babies say that first. She is 18 months old now and, don't worry, she says her fair share of both "mama" and "dada" now. Sofia will be calling you before you know it! I am so happy that Sofia is continuing to learn so fast. She is just so sweet!
