37 Weeks! Prayers for Avery Needed

I want to start this post by asking for all of you to please, please pray for Baby Avery. She has had a very rough past few days, and is not doing very well at all. Lauren, Avery's Mommy, may have some really tough decisions to make over the next few days and I pray that she finds the strength to stay strong. I can't post what I really want to say because it hurts so much to write it and the tears keep filling my eyes and I can't see what I am typing. Avery and Lauren and their family really need our prayers, though. Avery has been so strong, and I pray that she proves those doctors wrong and comes out of all this just fine. Please read her blog to find out exactly what is going on with little Avery, the link is:

My appointment with my Perinatologist was today and it went very well. Sofia now weighs 6lbs 14oz! I told you all she is going to be really close to 8lbs! Dr. Higby told me that we are considered full term now and that she could come at any time. Her Daddy will be here Sunday and I hope that she waits for him! Dr. Higby also said that there is no reason I need to be induced, and that if I did it would most likely end up in me having a c-section. My AFI isn't an issue either. It was 31 last week and dropped to 26.2. Normal pregnancies with babies that don't have birth defects have an AFI of 24 about this time in pregnancy. So, Sofia is doing very well. We probably won't get any more 3D pictures because Sofia is too large and will look all smooshed in them! She had hiccups the other night and my whole belly would jump with each one! I was so fascinated by it and thought it was the funniest thing ever!

Both Baby Jackson and Baby Drew seem to be doing very well. Both had their surgeries last week and have done very well since. Jackson was still on ECMO while they did the surgery, but did come off just fine over the weekend. Yeah Jackson! My doctors both tell me that the baby born here in SA is doing very well, too. Jenn, who is expecting Audrey a few weeks after my due date, is doing well and so is Audrey. Please keep all these babies and all CDH babies in your prayers.
I will post updates on Avery as needed, but please keep her in your prayers. My OB appointment is on Wednesday and I will update after that. Thank you all so much for all your prayers. Sofia is really going to need them. She has a really long, tough fight ahead of her, but please pray that she be a strong fighter.
Love, Catherine
