Well, we have been kicked out of the NICU again! This NICU is very busy at the moment especially with 3 CDH babies, 2 of which they weren't expecting! I know I told you before that one was transferred here from Austin cause he needed to be on ECMO and the other, well I don't know why they weren't informed earlier. She is the one that was born a few hours before Sofia. The 4th one that they had went home over the weekend. He was born in mid March with right-sided CDH. Anyway, so we only got to spend maybe an hour with Sofie and we now can't get back in till after 8pm. Sofia looked very well today, but they are leaving her on her left side so she is pretty swollen on that side. She looks like she has 3 chins and her eye looks like a boxer's. She is still very beautiful, though. Her blood pressure is about where they want it to stay, so they are weaning her meds a little faster than before. Her O2 was back at 58 again today, so we hope and pray that she does not have another setback, but keeps progressing. That is about all that I have for now. I am going to try and get a little nap in since I have the chance. Thank you all for you thoughts and prayers.
Love, Catherine
