Sofia continues to do very well and amazes me ,as well as the Doctors and Nurses, every minute! Her feedings are up to 3 ml an hour now and she seems to be tolerating it. They do have her on Zantac now, too. Yesterday, Sofia was completely taken off the Fentanyl and they continue to wean the Methadone. So, now Sofia is only on 3 medications and will hopefully be off them soon. The Zantac she will most likely go home on though. She is always wide awake and is full of smiles! Sofia loves attention and cries till someone talks to her or even till they pick her up! The Nurses call her a Princess Bottom cause she has to be immediately changed after she wets her diaper. Then she refuses to poop in a wet diaper, so she will cry to be changed then we will put her dry diaper on and she poops like 5 minutes later! I think it is pretty cute, but that will probably change once we are having to pay for the diapers ourselves!
Well, that is about all I have right now from our Baby Girl but we will update again soon. Just incase I don't make it to a computer tomorrow I want to wish everyone a Happy Mother's Day! Especially to three of my closest friends who are also celebrating their first Mother's Day, Laura, Corina, and Jessica. Laura and I met in 2nd grade and have been friends since. Her son Gavin is about 7 months. Corina and I have been friends since High School but the Military has kept us apart for the passed few years. She is now living in Alaska, but is here visiting till Monday. Her daughter, Aubrey is about 9 months. Jessica and I met a little over a year ago thanks to the Military ( and of course Ivan and Anthony) and she is now living in Arizona. Hopefully we will meet her daughter, Maya, this summer when they come and visit. I hope Sofia wil be home by then. Maya is about 5 months. So, Happy Mother's Day to all the wonderful Mothers we know.
Thanks you for your continued prayers for Sofia and all CDH babies. God Bless
Love, Catherine
