Sofia is 5 Months!

Okay, I know I say this every month, but OMG...I can't believe my sweet Sofia is already 5 months! Boy how the time does fly! Sofie is doing great! She held her bottle for the first and only time the other morning at 4:45am. She grabs at it and kinda holds it, but not for a full feed like she did that morning. Sofia is also really working on sitting up. She can hold herself up for about 15 seconds and then it looks like she just folds in half at the waist! Or, she falls to the side! I am having so much fun with her. We have now added Peaches and Sweet Potatoes to her diet. She made the cutest face when she tried the Peaches, they are pretty sour especially for a baby. But, she seems to like the Sweet Potatoes. I just realized I hadn't tried her on Applesauce, so we will do that next. I just wanted to introduce her to vegetables so that she wouldn't only like sweet stuff! I made the mistake of adding oatmeal to her Peaches and now she gives me a hard time if I try to feed her plain oatmeal. She gives me that look like I am just absolutely out of my mind if I think she is going to eat that! Sofia has an appointment in October with a Pulmonologist, so I am hoping he will help push for her to get the RSV shot. Keep your fingers crossed for us!

Baby Jackson and Audrey are both out of the hospital and home now. Thank you all for your prayers.

Congratulations to my Cousin Ryan and his Girlfriend, Kayleigh, on the birth of their son, Ryan David! Enjoy him while he is little, people really mean it when they tell you they grow so fast! We can't wait to go to England to meet him!

Congratulations also to Jana and Raymond, Angel Drew's Parents. They just recently found out that they are expecting! Jana told us that her due date is April 16, 2007, that is exactly one year to the day that Drew passed away. Isn't it crazy how things work out. I am so very happy for them! Please pray for a healthy pregnancy and baby for this wonderful family. Jana is really doing so much for CDH Awareness and the hospital that cared for Drew. A Rainbow of Hope was designed by Jana. I wish you all the best, Jana, you deserve it!

Thank you all again for your prayers and please continue to keep Sofia and all CDH babies in your prayers. God Bless

Love, Catherine

Catherine,
I know I don't check in often but I am keeping up w/Sofia. She's such a cutie! Glad to see her doing so well and with those cute cheekies! Looking forward to getting plans set for the picnic! I CAN'T WAIT to have all our kiddos together and everyone meet face to face. Will feel the missing angels though, but know they will be with us in spirit!
Love love

Sofia is getting so big and she is still as cute as ever! My daughter refused to hold her bottle. I am serious. She NEVER did it. She would hold everything else except that. I wish she would have as it would have made things easier so count your blessings that Sofia is starting to do it. Thankfully my daughter did take to holding and using a sippy cup at 12.5 months. Anyway, I am rambling, but I just wanted to say how cute Sofia is and I am impressed by all she is learning and doing now! What a little blessing! :-)
