Congratulations Lauren! Baby Avery Mae was born 3-17-06 at about 10pm. Lauren had a rough week though. She was due on Sunday, went to her check up on Monday and was told that if she didn't go into labor on her own they would induce her on Thursday. So, Thursday morning came and Lauren and her family went to the hospital thinking Lauren would have a baby that day! Well, the hospital sent her home and said that they didn't have any beds in the NICU for Avery! How crazy is that! They told her to call back Friday morning to see if one came available. Thankfully one did and Lauren went in yesterday morning and had Avery last night. Now Avery's Fight begins. Please keep Baby Avery and Lauren in your prayers. Also, I wanted to add another Prayer Request. I have met another Mommy of a CDH baby. Her name is Jana and her baby boy is Drew. They are in Oklahoma. Drew was born on 3-8-06. I have added a link to their blog, too. Jana has pictures posted and does a really good job of keeping the blog updated. I hope that I keep up with it as well as she does once Sofia is here!

Well, Jenn and I are the only ones left! I have about 5 weeks and Jenn about 7. I am sure there are many other Mommies expecting CDH babies, but Jenn is the only other one that I know of for now. It is amazing how they say that this defect only happens in 1 of 2000 births and you think it is very rare, yet it is more common than we think. Hopefully oneday they will be able to find what causes this to happen. Sofia and I are doing great this week. I am finally getting over my cold, but still having quite a few BH contractions. My next appointment is Monday morning, so I will update again after that. Thank you all again for all your prayers for all of us. We all really appreciate each and every one of them! God Bless
